Abstract of the
Talk
Can the universe be understood in terms of a single theory
- a theory so concise it could fit on a T-shirt? Dan Falk's
presentation is based on his award-winning book, Universe
on a T-Shirt: The Quest for the Theory of Everything, which
tells the story of the search for nature's ultimate laws
in easy-to-follow, non-technical language. The story begins
with the bold ideas of the ancient Greeks and continues
through the Scientific Revolution
and the breakthroughs of the 20th century - with a glimpse
of what the future may bring.
