Use
the Internet Everyday! |
With the advent of and the recent decline in price of computer LCD projectors, tapping into the immense amount internet material has never been easier. Everyday, in class, I make use of an (often many) internet site. Shockwave demonstrations, video footage, java applets, etc. Labs, that previously, my classes were unable to do, (due to the cost of the equipment, reliability, set-up and maintenance etc) are now very accessible. Often, these demonstrations are only as an addition to my lessons, but sometimes, there are some amazing sites that simply become the lesson! I'm going to focus on a couple of my favourite sites, and provide some innovative ways to incorporate the internet into your classes. A couple of my Favourites: The Physics Zone: J-Track
Satellite Tracking: Pages
and Pages of Simulation Sites: |
