| Remote Sensing: a rich source of physics discussion |
| Remote sensing
has entered the mainstream of public awareness; from satellite imagery to sea-floor
mapping to Hubble images, remote sensing plays an important role in today's world.
In this session, an in-class demo of remote sensing will be presented, as well
as a discussion of relevant physics topics such as the e/m spectrum, colour transmission/absorption,
sonar, scattering and others as they pertain to this growing field. |
