Quantum Physics can give you the H.O.T.S. |
Saturday 27 May 10:30 a.m. |
Workshop - 40 spaces |
Ever notice how teaching quantum physics can get your head spinning up, or down, or both ways at the same time? It's enough to collapse your eigenfuction! It's time to stop 1/2 spinning your wheels and get on board the PER quantum train. This workshop integrates research from both the physics education (PER) front and cognitive psychology, together with instructional intelligence (I.I.) techniques for the classroom. Role-playing, computer simulations, inquiry-based conceptual learning, numbered heads, concept mapping, walk about - all superposed and squared to knock your socks off - though not 'til you make a measurement! So come on out, get entangled, and go back to the classroom coherent and in phase. This is certain to be one unforgettable workshop - hopefully in your dimension! NB: for ethical reasons cats, dead or alive, are not permitted. |
