Effective Uses of Technology and Demonstrations in a Physics Classroom

It has always been a challenge to hold student interest throughout a Physics lecture. With the multitude of additional distractions now available to them it is more challenging than ever. However, new technologies in conjunction with traditional demonstrations can be a huge opportunity to engage and combat waning attentions, as well as offering novel ways of learning the fundamentals of Physics and problem solving.

Dr. Rupinder Brar is a Senior Lecturer of Physics and Astronomy in the Faculty of Science. He completed his PhD in Astrophysics at Queen's University. Rupinder takes an active role in political and environmental organizations in the community and is a Director of the Durham Regional Science Fair.
