Print this Page for Reference During RegistrationNotes on RegistrationRoles at the OAPT ConferenceWhen registering you will be asked to select your Role at the Conference. Please select your role carefully. This selection will determine your conference fees and whether you are assessed a membership fee. Delegate is an attendee who will pay the full conference fee to attend as well as a membership fee. Most attendees will select this role. Lead Presenter is a member of the OAPT. For each workshop session, the Lead Presenter will enjoy a free conference registration but will be assessed a membership fee. One Assistant Presenter is a member of the OAPT and will receive reduced fees but will be assessed a membership fee. Any other presenters register as Delegates and pay the usual conference fees. First or Second Year Teacher is an attendee who will pay reduced fees and a membership fee. Retired Teacher or Professor is an attendee who will pay reduced fees and a membership fee. Elementary School Teacher is an attendee who will pay reduced fees and a membership fee. Pre-Service Teachers who are currently registered in a Faculty or College of Education are offered a reduced registration at the conference as well as a free membership. Pre-Service Teachers must claim their one year free membership, expiring May 31 2016, before registering for the conference. Otherwise the registration system will charge a one year membership fee. Pre-Service Teachers who have completed their program, but have yet to find employment, may continue to register as Pre-Service Teachers. Exhibitor purchases one or two exhibit tables. Guest of the OAPT is not a member of the OAPT and does not wish to become a member. This role is usually reserved for guests invited by the Conference Committee, such as distinguished speakers from outside Ontario. Guests receive a free registration, and are not assessed a membership fee. Host The host institution will involve many members of staff and students, both undergraduate and graduate, in the planning and running of the conference. We offer free registration for the conference as a way of saying thank you. Please Register. It is important that all those involved in the conference register so that we have accurate counts for the dinner and other events. It also allows us to print name tags for everyone. Membership The Annual Membership Fee of $20.00 will be added both for memberships expiring on May 31, and for non-members as detailed above. Selecting WorkshopsSelect the Workshop(s) of your choice. Once a workshop is full, you will not be able to select it.Selecting No-Charge OptionsYou will be asked to select among various no-charge options, such as the Dinner, Reception and Friday Lunch. We need counts for these. Please be sure to select those options that you plan to attend, so that we have an accurate count. Otherwise food and money will be wasted. Thursday Dinner and Friday LunchThe Thursday dinner and Friday lunch will include vegetarian options. However, if there are other dietary restrictions please indicate. We need to count the number of people who intend to register for residence accommodation. During conference registration, you will be asked which nights you wish to stay. Ticking these boxes does NOT register you for accommodation. You must do this separately from the registration process.
