Ernie McFarland

Ernie McFarland, a professor of physics at the University of Guelph, is widely known and admired for being able to make physics exciting and understandable. The Founding President of the Ontario Association of Physics Teachers, Prof. McFarland has written physics texts and articles in journals such as the American Journal of Physics and The Physics Teacher. In 1987, he was awarded a 3M Teaching Fellowship, the highest award for teaching at the University level in Canada. In 1997 he was the recipient of the Canadian Association of Physicists' Medal for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching.
