Dark matter as an application of uniform circular motion

Arguably, the greatest advance in our understanding of the cosmos over the last half a century is the knowledge that 85% of the matter in the universe is invisible. That is, that it does not reflect, emit or absorb any light whatsoever. Such matter is called dark matter and in this presentation we will show how you can explain the idea behind it and the evidence supporting it to Grade 12 students as an application of uniform circular motion and universal gravitation. This talk will include related hands-on activities for students.
