The OAPT recognizes the generous sponsorship of our conference partners:
Our host for 2013, University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) - Faculty of Science, has graciously offered the use
of its facilities, audio and visual support and solicited a stellar cast of faculty speakers. Venue support is absolutely
critical to a successful conference. We appreciate the opportunity for OAPT members to sample the innovative,
technology-rich teaching and learning environment UOIT provides. Special recognition to Dr. Valeri Kapoustine,
physics undergraduate program director, for pivotal support as UOIT site coordinator. Also a nod to Brett Huether, UOIT Conference Centre,
	for coordinating meals and accommodation.

Our long-term partners, Rogers Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto, have once again
provided substantial financial support. Their contributions permit us to offer an unprecedented $19.99/night
accommodation rate to maximize accessibility and teacher-networking . The ECE department also provides extensive
IT support for our annual OAPT contest. We acknowledge Dr. Ali Sheikholeslami for spearheading this support,
and to Dr. Micah Stickel for managing this portfolio while Dr. Sheikholeslami is on sabbatical.
Rogers Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering have agreed to host our OAPT conference in 2014.

Our other long-term partner, Perimeter Institute of Theoretical Physics, again is providing dynamic speakers and
a host of amazing educational resources. PI has been a tireless advocate of improving physics instruction and purposeful
public outreach, setting important benchmarks for STEM advocacy. Our thanks to Greg Dick, outreach director, and Damian
Pope, senior manager, for their tireless support.

Of course, we also recognize the support of Boards of Education, Superintendents and Principals who allow OAPT members to attend
	 this subject-specific professional development opportunity.

The final group to acknowledge is our outstanding cast of speakers, the numerous dedicated educators who share their
enthusiasm and expertise with colleagues. The success of a conference rides on the quality and quantity of speakers.
Your efforts are appreciated and are the core of our success.

Thank you.	  Dave Doucette and the OAPT Steering Committee
